History

I entered the world in the vibrant

summer of 1959 in the

 classic resort town of

Weston-Super-Mare.

~

Though my name is

June Cheryl

I’ve always been known as Cherry !

My love for the magnificent

German Shepherd Dog

came from my Grandfather,

 he used to

breed, show and train them for obedience & security.

My sister Toni as a young girl, our grandfather and his incredible

German Shepherd

display team.

Featured here are the

 stars of the show,

Lucky and her son Rex.

My history with the German Shepherd Dog is

a multi-generational legacy. It began in the 1940s—well before I was born—with my grandfather, Tom Beavis.

~

Under his respected Meadowlea affix, he became a

prominent figure in the breed’s post-war development

 in the UK.

~

Today, I am proud to carry forward the torch he lit

over 80 years ago, upholding the same

passion and dedication to the breed that

defined his life’s work.

Why lorries?

Well, I often reflect on my family's connection to the world of construction and haulage. My daddy was deeply involved in the construction industry, which meant that from a young age, I was surrounded by the powerful presence of lorries.

Both my brothers took inspiration from our father's dedication to construction and

pursued their own paths in the haulage sector. Each of them proudly owned their own lorries, contributing to the family legacy in a unique way.

And I just followed suit !

One question I'm often asked

"why The Woman's Touch"

~

 Many years ago I started

 The Woman's Touch

 as a vehicle valeting company,

but I spent more time driving for the companies than

valeting their lorries.

so I decided  to have my own !
